Hype and sentiment scorer
Rates public hype from 0 to 100. It reads the text you paste in (headlines, posts, comments), then blends it with GMP, subscription and broker views. It does not scan social media by itself. Use the search buttons, copy what you find, and paste it below.
How each line scored
Sentiment uses a simple word list, so sarcasm and context can fool it. Hype is not quality: a very high score can mean a crowded trade. This is not investment advice.
Allotment predictor
Simulates the retail lottery 10,000 times. Pick an IPO to fill in lots and subscription from the latest snapshot, then move the slider to ask what happens if demand changes.
How many applications win?
Chance as demand changes
Chance as you add applications
Applications are estimated as retail lots bid, so the real chance can be a bit higher if some people bid for several lots. A simulation shows likelihood, not a promise.

Live data connection
Paste the address of your live data service (see LIVE-DATA.md). It feeds the market tiles and live GMP. This setting is saved in this browser only. To turn it on for every visitor, put the address in LIVE_API in index.html.
Backup and restore
The backup lists accounts without passwords. Restoring creates missing accounts with new temporary passwords.
Back-office guide
Roles and what they can do
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Guest | Browse every public page and use the tools. Nothing is saved. |
| User | Everything a guest can, plus a watchlist, a saved theme, name changes, password changes and deleting their own account. |
| Admin | Everything a user can, plus this Admin page: add accounts, change roles, disable or enable, reset passwords, delete, read the activity log, and back up accounts. |
Rules built in
- The first account created on a device becomes the admin.
- The last active admin cannot be deleted, disabled or made a user. You cannot disable or delete yourself here.
- Passwords need 8+ characters with a letter and a number. After 5 wrong tries a username waits 60 seconds.
- A password reset gives a temporary password. The person must pick a new one at next sign-in.
- Every sign-in, failed sign-in and admin action goes into the activity log (latest 200).
What is stored, and where
- Username, display name, role, status, dates, watchlist and theme. No email, phone or PAN is collected.
- Passwords are never stored. Only a salted PBKDF2-SHA256 hash is kept.
- Everything lives in this browser's storage. Another phone or computer has its own separate accounts.
Limits of this build
- There is no server, so sign-in is a convenience, not real protection. Someone with browser developer tools can bypass it or read stored data.
- Do not reuse an important password here, and do not use it to protect sensitive data.
- Accounts do not sync between devices, and an admin on one device cannot see accounts on another.
Moving to real accounts
- Use a back end (your own server, Firebase or Supabase) that hashes passwords on the server and sets HttpOnly, Secure cookies.
- Add email verification, password reset by email, rate limiting, HTTPS and two-step sign-in for admins.
- The endpoint list and checklist are in ADMIN-BACKOFFICE.md in the downloads.
Daily checklist
- Refresh prices, GMP, subscription numbers and news, then update the "Data as of" date.
- Check the activity log for repeated failed sign-ins.
- Disable accounts that are no longer needed.
IPOs
Tip: choose SME, then Upcoming, to see upcoming SME IPOs.
Update IPO list
One IPO per line, columns separated by a | sign: Company | Open date | Close date | Listing date | Issue size | Price (upper band) | Shares per lot | GMP (₹) | GMP updated | Note | Type (Mainboard or SME) | Retail shares offered | Retail subscription (times) | Registrar | Allotment date | Refund and share credit date. Dates look like 2026-10-07. Leave a column empty if unknown. Status (Open, Upcoming, Closed) is worked out from the dates, so it updates by itself every day. Changes last until you close the page.
Mainboard and SME rows come from public IPO trackers as of 1 Oct 2026. A dash means the figure was not in my sources. Confirm details on NSE or BSE before you apply, and edit the list with the box above or the IPOS block at the top of the script.

Application summary
Best time to apply
- The time of day does not change your allotment chance. Retail allotment is a random draw, so bidding in the first minute gives no edge.
- Do not leave it to the last hour on the last day. Broker apps slow down, UPI requests can fail, and approval often needs to finish about an hour before bidding ends.
- Bidding on the last morning has one benefit: you can see the demand and the GMP first. Big institutional bids usually arrive on the last day, so early numbers can look low.
- Your money is blocked, not spent, until allotment. Applying early only means that amount is tied up for a few days, so keep it free.
- You can change or cancel a bid until bidding closes. After that you cannot.
- Always approve the request in your UPI app. A request you do not approve means no bid was placed.
Bidding on mainboard IPOs usually runs from 10 AM to 5 PM on working days. Your broker or bank may stop UPI requests earlier on the last day, so confirm with them.
Bank request status
After you place the bid in your broker or bank app, press "I sent these requests to my bank". Then follow it here. JS IPO's cannot see your bank, so you update the status yourself from your UPI app and bank messages.
How to place the bid
JS IPO's does not place bids. Bids go through a SEBI-registered broker or your bank, using UPI.
- Keep a demat account and a UPI ID linked to your bank account ready.
- Open the IPO section in your broker app, or your bank's IPO (ASBA) option.
- Pick the IPO, enter the lots and price from this summary, and enter your UPI ID.
- Approve the payment request in your UPI app before bidding closes. The money is blocked, not spent.
- After allotment, check the result in the Allotment tab. Money for shares you don't get is unblocked.
IPO GMP (grey market premium)
GMP comes from the IPO list. Edit it from the IPOs tab.
Premium graph
Estimated listing gain: GMP divided by issue price.
GMP trend
Every reading you log adds a point. With two or more readings an IPO shows a trend line.
GMP table
Be careful: GMP is an unofficial price from an unregulated market. It can be wrong, it can change quickly, and it does not guarantee the listing price. Estimated listing price is the issue price plus the GMP.
Check your allotment
All registrar links
Results are published by the IPO's registrar, so you check them on the registrar's own site. Use the one named in the offer document or on your broker's IPO page. Results usually appear from the working day after bidding closes.
You can search by PAN, application number or DP/client ID. This page never asks for or stores your PAN, so enter it only on the registrar's site. If a link has moved, open the registrar's home page and look for its IPO status section.

Nifty 50 and Sensex
Latest closing levels are from 1 Oct 2026, the fourth straight fall. Markets were shut on 2 Oct for Gandhi Jayanti. Live prices appear here when a live feed is connected. Otherwise this shows the latest saved snapshot.
Since last Friday's close the Sensex has lost nearly 1,986 points. Reports point to worries about an October rate hike, firm energy prices, bond-yield swings and foreign selling. Markets then take a three-day break.

Unlisted shares
Indicative prices from unlisted-market trackers, around September 2026. These prices are not set on an exchange, and trackers often disagree.
Tap View for the face value, minimum investment, valuation and notes.
Before you buy unlisted shares
- Unlisted shares belong to companies that are not on NSE or BSE. They are traded privately through dealers and platforms.
- The price comes from demand and supply between buyers and sellers, so it differs by dealer and can change a lot at IPO time.
- They can be hard to sell because few people trade them, and there is no exchange to show a fair price.
- A lock-in can apply after listing, and it depends on the type of holder.
- Buy only through a SEBI-registered intermediary. You complete KYC, pay, and the shares are transferred off-market to your demat account. Check the ISIN before you pay.
- Gains are taxed differently from listed shares, and the holding period for long-term treatment is generally longer. Ask a tax adviser.

Financial analyzer
Enter the numbers from the IPO's review or offer document. You get simple labels for profit, growth, valuation, debt and returns.
These labels are rules of thumb, not investment advice. Peers and sectors differ, so compare with similar companies.
Broker reviews
What named brokers and reviewers said, and where they lean overall. These are their views, not JS IPO's, and they often disagree. This is not investment advice.
Open a demat account
You need a demat account and UPI to apply for an IPO. These are discount brokers that support IPO applications through UPI.
Check each broker's current charges and terms on its own site before you open an account.
IPO ticker widget
Build a scrolling IPO ticker for a blog or website. Copy the code and paste it into the page.
The snapshot shows today's list and does not update by itself. The JSON from "Copy data as JSON" has the format the widget reads: a list with name, status, close and gmp.
Alerts and reminders
Pick an IPO and the dates you care about. Send yourself a reminder on WhatsApp or Telegram, or add the dates to Google Calendar.
Automatic alerts on Telegram
A web page cannot push messages to your phone by itself. This needs a small bot running on a computer or server. The app download includes one.
- In Telegram, message @BotFather, send /newbot, and copy the bot token.
- Message your new bot once, then find your chat ID (for example with @userinfobot).
- Press "Copy data as JSON" below and save it as ipos.json next to the bot script.
- Run the script daily: TELEGRAM_TOKEN=... CHAT_ID=... python3 telegram_alerts.py. It messages you about IPOs that open, close, get allotted or list today or tomorrow.
WhatsApp automatic alerts need the WhatsApp Business platform, which is more setup, so this page offers the share button instead.
IPO allotment chances
In the retail category, each application gets one draw when the issue is oversubscribed. Applying for more lots does not raise your chance. Extra applications from other family members' PANs do.
- Times subscribed (retail)
- 1.50x
- Lots available to allot
- 7,000
- Chance per application
- 66.7%
- If allotted, you receive
This is an estimate that assumes each application is for one lot. Allotment is a random draw, so no result is guaranteed.
Best ways to improve your chances
- Pick IPOs with low retail demand. When an issue is oversubscribed, your chance per application is roughly 1 divided by the retail subscription. At 63.7 times, that is about 1.6%.
- Apply for one lot only in the Retail category. When an issue is oversubscribed, each winner gets just one lot, so more lots do not raise your chance and they lock up more money.
- Apply from family members' own demat accounts. Each person with a different PAN gets a separate draw. Never apply twice with the same PAN, because duplicates are rejected.
- Avoid rejections: approve the UPI request, keep enough money in the account, make sure the name and PAN match the demat account, and bid at the cut-off price.
- Stay at or under ₹2,00,000 for Retail. A bigger bid moves you into the HNI category, which works differently.
- Do not choose only by GMP. GMP is unofficial and says nothing about your chance of getting an allotment.
No method guarantees an allotment. Each application must use a different person's own PAN and demat account.
